We set up a booth at Qout Market – a make shift farmers market held at the top floor of a parking lot every first Saturday of the month in Kuwait, and asked visitors to enter our booth and enter the circle of kindness. People were guided through a maze of positive messages, which explained the concept of the circle of kindness, eventually the tunnel led to a garden full of flowers. The visitors were then asked to pick a flower from the garden with a pre-written compliment on it and pass it on to someone in the market within 10 minutes as an act of kindness. They would then have to ask that receiver to pass it on again and so on to create a never ending circle of kindness.
The reaction was inspiring. The market was filled with flowers, over 2000 flowers exchanged hands, random people came up to one another and offered a flower and a compliment. So much so that, people started counting the number of flowers they got and exchanged with others. The sight of the entire act was priceless and the message came across beautifully.
